RESCUE DOGS WORKSHOP

We are passionate about rescue dogs and understand the joy and challenges you may face with your new companion to build a positive relationship and skills to help guide them to a brighter future.
We have fostered, rehabilitated and rehomed many rescue dogs (and kept several too as we loved them too much). We would love to share with you all the tips we focus on when working with these special dogs to bring out all their potential.
If you've adopted or perhaps foster rescue dogs of any age from the pound or a rescue organisation, or maybe you rescued it yourself, then this is the course for you.
What topics do we cover?
What to expect with a rescue dog
Building support and safety
How dogs learn
Relationship building games

Foundation obedience skills
Problem solving

What do we do differently?
A course tailored to the needs of a rescue dog who may have had a difficult start, may be lacking in confidence, or lacking in connection with humans, or has had very little positive training or social exposure

UPCOMING WORKSHOP DATES

New course date
TBC

  • Sociable rescue dogs are encouraged to attend as long as they are fully vaccinated
  • If you feel your dog will not cope in a group environment then you can attend at a cheaper rate without your dog. We guarantee you will still gain a lot of knowledge and insight.
  • Please contact us if you are unsure whether your dog would be suitable to attend. If your dog has displayed any unsociable behaviour towards people or other dogs you can attend without your dog so you can still learn and we may direct you to a behaviour consultation or reactive dog program as an alternative.
$195/dog
Coffee, tea & biscuits provided
All family welcome
Location
Dunedin

Notes:
To secure your place on the course, payment must be made within 48 hours of your registration.
